How To Pay For College Tuition: Every Student’S Plight
This is an age-old question that faces many students as they try to figure out how they are going to pay their tuition bills when their scholarships and grants simply do not cut it. Many give up, believing their dreams of a college education are long gone, but some find other ways to pay their bills. Giving up should never be an option, as anybody that dreams of a college education should do whatever they can to make it happen.
Working around college tuition to earn a degree is possible, contrary to what some students may believe. Students often see a college degree as something out of reach, as they lack the financial means to pay their way through school and see working and going to class as something way too overwhelming to even consider. More and more students these days are going to school while balancing a family and a job at the same time, so why should it be any different for one particular student. Anything is possible when the student seeks out the proper resources and puts a little effort into finding a way to make it happen. Students should consider the benefits a college internship may offer to them, as the rewards often extend beyond a paycheck.

Concerns About College Costs Shaping More Students? Decisions
Freshman concerns about college affordability are at a 35-year high, according to a recent survey by the Higher Education Research Institute. Of the students surveyed, 39 percent said financial aid packages — the funds schools offer them in the form of grants, scholarships, work-study awards, and student loans — played a key role in their decision of which school to attend.
College-bound seniors may even be passing up their first-choice schools because of these cost concerns, says John Pryor, the survey’s director. In 2007, although 80 percent of students were accepted at their first-choice school, only 64 percent enrolled in those schools.
Finding Money for College
If you have your heart set on your first-choice school but your financial aid package just isn’t enough to get you there, you still have other financing options available to you.
Even if you don’t qualify for need-based financial aid, or if you’ve already maxed out your need-based award, there are non–need-based scholarships and you may still be eligible for.
The federal government offers non–need-based unsubsidized Stafford student loans to both undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate students may also apply for credit-based Grad PLUS student loans.

College Placement for today?s students
It is so easy to go through high school and never think about what college or university you want to attend. In fact probably over 60% of high school students don’t even begin to think of where they want to go for college until their senior year. And if the parents were anything like me, they had no idea of the ins and outs of college placement. This includes what the best colleges are to apply to that fit your child’s performance in high school according to their grades, extracurricular activities, their goals and interests. And to take those schools that do fit the grade and match them up to what your child is actually looking for in a college or university. To say the least, college placement is a very detailed process. If you can do all this on your own, that is great. Your local high school counselors and college center are there to help as much as possible as well as work- shops at your local community college.
There are other ways to get the help you might need and that is through education consultation firms. Most of these college placement consultant firms have done this process a lot and have your child’s interest at heart. They are there to help find the right college for each student based on their needs and qualifying specifics. This allows the consulting firm to help each client or student show their most positive attributes on their admission applications and to also guide the way to producing a college essay that is well prepared and shows a good example of their skills to the admissions office at the college or university. A College placement consultant service can also show potential student and their parents the various ways to get offers for financial assistance. The financial aid process at times can be daunting and any help is usually appreciated in this area. It is also helpful to students that need to access and apply to appropriate graduate and professional school programs

Employers High Demand for Students and Workers With an Informational and Technical Education in the Emerging 21st Century
Years ago people could live a productive life, save for retirement and build a nest egg without a high school diploma or little to none formal education.
See, when I was a youngster, my mother worked 2 to 3 jobs to provide for our family. The challenges of her younger life and family prevented her from obtaining her high school diploma because she had to help take care of her siblings. Yet, in her late thirties and early forties, my mother studied for the GED, passed the Board and later received technical and occupational training as a medical transcriptionist and tax-preparer. Due to economic demands and financial shifts, my mother again in her late forties, early fifties received training as a nurse practitioner. However, today just to stay afloat in her industry, she is developing herself to receive her RNA license at sixty years of age. See, my mother is a prime example and parody of the educational and employment changes facing students and workers in today’s developing 21st Century Economy and Workforce.
